Movie Review 5 : Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian

I was generally hyped with excitement when I heard that there's gonna be a sequel to one of my favorite all time movies Night at the Museum. I had always thought the critics were being illogical about the ratings of this movie but then again... what else can critics do... /nobigdeal

So when I heard that this sequel also had bad ratings from the critics, I thought well here we go again... an injustice to a "might be" good movie and decided to hit the theater...

And the critics were proven

RIGHT

I was utterly disappointed with the outcome of this movie and thought that it had done no justice whatsoever to the beloved first movie. The plot is just rubbish... I mean come on... let's face it... who would go from a millionaire to a night guard at a museum?? That's just a big BS for me...

This movie also lacked of emotions unlike the first one which is what made this movie magical in the first place. The chemistry between actors were also totally put to waste in this failed attempt to overachieve something...

The only thing I found entertaining was probably 60% of the jokes. There were some funny parts throughout the movie but there were also some bad joke moments. I mean... when will Hollywood learn that the generation nowadays are sick of these cheesy stupid jokes (such as those movie parodies franchise). What ever happen to the talented writers who could produce intelligent jokes out of stupid things (isn't that what Hollywood comedy is all about??)...

I guess my rambling is almost done now (I don't want to be one of those critics /XD) but I guess my sudden burst of angst is totally the result of pure frustration... So I'm going to give this a 5 out of 10...

Criminal Minds Season 4 Finale!

Criminal Minds has reached the end of its fourth season last Wednesday with another mind blowing case and a cliff hanger which left me anxious for the next season...

The case is developed into one of the most disturbing thing I've seen in Criminal Minds.

The unsub took the victims to his pig farm and hammered the back of their necks to paralyze them. He then drained the spinal fluid from the victims and chopped their bodies into tiny pieces before leaving the remains for his pigs to devour... /shock

Disturbed??
I know I was...

Following the lead of an abandon car use to transport the victims and the profile... the team went to a pig farm belonging to a man called Mason Turner who turned out to be quadriplegic...

It turns out that Mason was using his mentally challenged brother, Lucas to do experiments on his victims for his stem cell research /shock

I love Rossi in this scene
Garcia shocked with the findings of the experiment details

A stem cell research at a pig farm conducted by a mentally challenged person... isn't that something that's doomed to fail from the very start??

The team then found another disturbing evidence (or should I say evidences) which is a pile of the victims shoes... all 89 pairs of them! /shock

This case also portrayed Kelly... one of the best victim in CM ever... she's the last girl to be abducted and the only one survived... her intelligence on survival and how she treated Lucas clearly made her a hero in this...
The case ended with both unsubs dead... Lucas was shot during Kelly's rescue mission and Mason was murdered by William (the man who brought this case to highlights in the first place) to avenge his sister's murder...

But the essence of these two episodes is definitely at the final monologue scene...

/no

I nearly went nuts from that final part... mainly because Aaron Hotchner is my favorite of all the team members... But I do believe that he's going to survive this and I will make a post solely dedicated to this topic soon...

Overall... although things might seemed a little bit exagerrated in this case... I enjoyed it nonetheless... I would give this a deserving 9.0/10...

Americal Idol Crowned!

It was an amazing finale to end an amazing season last night and boy the show was amazing...

The top artists who came and perform with the Top 12 finalists just made me scream for more...

Besides... Jason Mraz was there performing too!!
/XD

And after the record breaking 100 millions votes...
/omg

The new American Idol was crowned!

KRIS ALLEN

I totally love the bond between Kris and Adam...

And Kris is such a humble person...
The only thing he could say for his winning speech was "Adam deserves this"...

Well Kris...
The crown is yours and you should wear it high because no matter who won last night...
Both of you deserved to be there!

Congratulations Kris Allen!

American Idol 2009 Finale!

Thought I should write a review before the result is announced tonight but I honestly believe that there's no way you can compare Adam and Kris because both of them have different styles and range and both are great at what they do... /nobigdeal

The show took place at the Nokia Theater and started off with clips of the finalists evolutions from their auditions till the finale. Then Ryan as usual introduced the 4 judges and announced that the finalists will be singing 3 songs for the night - one is their favorite performance throughout the show, one is chosen by AI creator Simon Fuller and the other one will be a new song co written by Kara DioGuardi herself.

Then the finalists are introduced...

Adam Lambert and Kris Allen!

Adam Lambert went first with his choice "Mad World"... It was a good performance but a little too dramatic for me... it's like watching a Broadway show or something and not a concert...

Next was Kris Allen on his piano with his song "Ain't No Sunshine"... my only comment is... there's definitely no sunshine for Kris in this performance because he brought out thunder and storm! It was like watching a real concert and boy I love it!

The second song for Adam was "A Change's Gonna Come" and he rocked the house... his high notes were amazing but I gotta say the metalic suits kinda made Adam looks like a Vegas performer rather than the star he is...

Kris Allen's "What's Going On" to me deserves more kudos than given to him... the song was a little bit light but that's Kris's style plus the song was given to him and not chosen... I totally love Kris's acoustic style and he reminds me so much of Jason Mraz, which is a good thing... of course when you compare Kris's acoustic to Adam's high pitch earlier, he's gonna look tiny but you still can't deny it was a good performance...

The final song was "No Boudaries" and I've got to say that it's not a fair song... it was obviously too high for Kris and too cheesy for Adam... both finalists did not nail the song but I agree with Randy that Kris's voice suited the song more than Adam's if only they did a different arrangement for him...

The show also ended with Carrie Underwood's performance which I enjoyed very much...

Overall... I think that this is definitely the American Idol's best finale ever and the Americans are gonna have a tough time voting...

As for me...

I would totally vote for Kris because to me he's a true musician.. the one we need more these days... the one who can do acoustic while playing instruments... don't get me wrong... Adam is good but he's just a great singer (which of course reminds me of most artists we have today) and if both of them happened to have concerts on the same day... I would definitely go to Kris's... but that's just me of course /sweat

Good luck to both of them...

P.S. Sorry for the small images... I'd miscalculated the size... /please

Gossip Girl Season 2 Finale!

Gossip Girl ended its second season yesterday with so much drama and and the most anticipated moment for all GG fans...

I've gotta say that this is probably one of my favorite episodes

thanks to the ending which made me go

/sweat/omg/blur/hmm/wahaha/XD

The portrayal of Gossip Girl as more than just a narrator certainly kept me at the edge of my sit... GG has never been so "mean" before and for her to show her other side definitely made me beg for more /please

I'm going to post pretty much all the important scenes of the episode (according to me of course) below...

So... for those who haven't seen the finale...

Here are my favorite and the important moments of the episode... enjoy!

  1. I love the part when Mrs. Waldorf advises Blair on her feelings for Chuck... It's a short moment that totally portrays the bond between a mother and her daughter
  2. I totally went nuts when the Gossip Girl's blast about Blair and Jack happened right before Chuck confessed. And poor Blair when she tried to convince Chuck about about their love...
  3. Rufus finally /sweat proposed to Lily with only a piece of rolled paper strip... but its sweet nonetheless...
  4. I love the part when Blair looked through the restaurant window and saw Chuck staring at her... it's like a scene for an unrequited love movie..
  5. Nate finally decided to go backpacking with Vanessa... which means.. they could be together again! I used to hate Nate and Vanessa together but after they broke up... it seems so awkward seeing them dating others and now I'm a full supporter~ /blush
  6. The introduction of the new character, Scott definitely made me happy... I've been waiting for the arrival of Lily's and Rufus's long lost son and I truly believe that Scott is the one...
  7. Little J finally brings out the b**** in her again and took the Queen throne once and for all with the help of Queen B
  8. I love the idea of Georgina being Blair's roommate for the next season and this expression of hers certainly proved that she's up to no good
  9. Carter Brazen found Serena's dad?? /omg
  10. And the last but not least... Chuck Bass finally say "I Love You" to Blair Waldorf in the most romantic way possible! He actually went to France and Germany so that he could buy Blair's favorite macaroons and stockings?! And the final dialogues... they totally blew me away! Here's the final scene's dialogues in details (Blair's pink... Chuck's green):
You were right...I was a coward running away again... but everywhere I went, you caught up with me... So I had to come back...
I wanna believe you but I can't... You've hurt me too many times
You can believe me this time

Oo... that's it??

I love you, too...

*kiss*

Can you say it twice?

*laugh*

No... seriously say it twice

I love you... that's two

I love you... that's three
I love you.. four

I love you

So there you go... the best finale anyone can ever hope for... I really can't wait for next season... till then.. XOXO
